New Xbox 360 Dashboard - November 19th
There isn't much to this post because really we'll have to wait and see. It seems to me like it would take a lot of power and time to completely update the dashboard of every 360 console in every home and I still don't know how they plan on doing it but I assume they worked that out.
Anyway, come November 19th you'll either be waking up to a brand new 'Xbox Experience' or the entire Xbox world will witness a massive systems crash and existence as you know it will be gone forever ...
...well probably not, but you never know.
(If it does happen you can't blame me)

Mii's Playable In Guitar Hero World Tour
Confirmed today, there will be a Wii specific mode in Guitar Hero World Tour called ‘Mii Freestyle’. This new mode does not only allow you to play as your Mii avatars, but also utilizes the Wii remote, and nunchuk for Air Drumming, Air Guitar, etc. Details are scarce as we await an official public statement from Activision, but the above image strongly points to some truth in the news leak.
Are the few of you that were getting GH4 on other platforms tempted to purchase the Wii version now? Not only do you get the exact same version, but a whole new built in mode that could potentially add hours upon hours of fun to an already high replay value title. could potentially add hours upon hours of fun to an already high replay value title.

Pay & Play For Guitar Hero World Tour
Though Activision has stated many times that the Wii version of Guitar Hero World Tour would support downloadable content we were still unsure of how they were going to go about gobbling up our money. Obviously the above box art revealed today that Activision will be accepting Wii point payment via Nintendo’s ‘Pay & Play’ program. This must mean a new Channel option inside the Wii Shop Channel with Track downloads avaliable to purchase with basic Wii points. Awesome.

Sega Returns To Form, Edgy Marketing In Full Effect
In the early 90s, many Nintendo fans defected to Genesis in search of edgier gameplay because of smart marketing from Sega. Well it seems the company is back to its old tricks, only this time it’s targeting Wii naysayers. Says Headstrong Games, makers of House of the Dead: Overkill:"There’s a lot of Wii fans worried about the decline of decent hardcore games on the system. No, guys — we’re not making a 30 hour-plus RPG here, but we are making something you are going to have a complete blast playing. We are making it with a nod to one of the greatest arcade series of all time and we hope you’ll just purely enjoy teaming up with buddies and posting those high scores on the forums with the rest of us…It’ll beat the sh@t out of grooming a horse."
Clever Sega. I like your style. I’m sure you’ll be rewarded financially for zigging while other remaining publishers are still doubting.
